This selection of pictures were taken between 1992 & 1997 when Oswestry depot was run under the CAMBRIAN MIDLAND RED banner. As can be seen it was a very colourful period.

The first ex Crosville Cymru vehicle to recieve a repaint was 1079 ODM 679V. It is seen in Oswestry in 1992

One of the First MRN imports was this Ex Bee Line Rebodied Tiger 1730 it later passed to Arriva Cymru with Abermule Outstation.

An old depot favourite was Bristol VRT 1860, It was exchanged for an Olympian with Macclesfield but later returned due to a local staff outcry.

Iveco minibuses were the favoured type of MRN so CC exchanged the Merc 608's before the takeover. 284 is seen in Chirk shortly after its repaint.

The short B type National was much admired by Shrewsbury & Abermule depots, To enable 1070 to be transfered this former C-Line DVL was repainted & sent to Oswestry. Later an accident saw it withdrawn.

The 1994 contact wins brought the former London & Country Dennis Falcons to the area 1207 is seen at the Mere in Ellesmere During its layover.

An old favourite was 890 it spent much of its time on the Wrexham group of services. It later went to South Shropshire for a short period before being preserved by some former employees. Although it was sold on again & scrapped soon afterwards.
